While partnering with a US based school of medicine, we worked to modernize a shared research data source into a more secure and stable platform.

Thinking through the lens of Data as a Service, we partnered with faculty, business, and technical stakeholders to define use cases and user personas to ensure usability. From this partnership, it was decided that a complete overhaul was required.

Since the data warehouse also contained sensitive personal identifiers, we worked to bring the warehouse and its processes into compliance with ISO 27001 standards.

The result was a safe and secure data warehouse which meets current needs and has the ability to scale as more research data points are added.
